In the previous post you were introduced to  how Ratatouille fits into Negroni’s theory.

The third movie used in Negroni’s theory is the 2009 two-time Oscar winning Up, centered around a strange group of unlikely friends. This movie is said to take place between 2011 and 2016 according to http://www.pixartheory.com/.

Movie Summary:

Ready for a final adventure, Carl Fredricksen sets off on a journey to a lost world from his childhood dreams. Instead of traveling like someone seeking a regular vacation, he has chosen to travel by thousands of balloons tied to his house. Once in the air he discovers a stowaway on his porch is none other than on overeager Wilderness Explorer by the name of Russell. Having no other choice but to take the 8 year-old under his wing, the two become one of the most unlikely duos. Upon getting near Carl’s final destination the group will grow again as Dug and Kevin are introduced. Dug is a golden retriever with a collar that allows him to communicate with people and Kevin is a flightless 13-foot tall bird who seems to have a craving for chocolate. The journey proves that sometimes the biggest adventure is one you never planned to experience.

The Pixar Theory:

As Negroni finishes with his explanation of how Ratatouille fits into his theory, he follows up with the statement “It’s possible that Charles Muntz,

the antagonist of Up, learned of this startling rumor, giving him the idea to begin inventing devices that would harness the thoughts of animals, namely his dogs, through translator collars.”  One thing people notice in Up is that every dog you see is wearing a unique collar, and the viewer presumes that Muntz created the collar for his dogs, but with what purpose.

We learn from watching Dug, that the collar enables him to communicate with humans through a form of speech, as well as remain in contact with Muntz. Through the use of the collars Muntz is learning that the animals are smarter and retain more human traits than we had previously believed. It might be possible that, upon learning the rumor of Remy, he had created the collars to be able to locate the one rare animal he had yet to find. A large 13ft tall, flightless bird roaming South America and the dogs are his method of tracking and he even goes as far as saying the hunt for the bird has cost him dogs.

After Muntz’s demise all of his experiments are free and we are not aware of what the implications may be. All we know at that point in the timeline is that the animosity between the animals and humans is growing and we are beginning to cross the line since discovering the full potential of animals. To develop new technology the humans start and industrialized revolution. Buy N’ Large ties in here.

This is a company that is introduced briefly in Up, as the construction company that wants Carl to move so they can have ownership of his property. Keep watch because Up is not the only movie in which the company appears.

Introduction To The Pixar Theory

The Pixar Theory

You may have previously heard of or even read what has been named ‘The Pixar Theory’.  Originally it was published by a guy by the name of Jon Negroni (http://jonnegroni.com/2013/07/11/the-pixar-theory/). What has since publishing became an internet sensation, was a year long project formed after viewing a video on a website called www.Cracked.com which introduced the idea that the Pixar movies may be connected in ways other than prequals and sequals. To date, Negroni is still adding to his theory as he exposes more clues that interweave the different movies.

Reading through the entire article, it was right around 12 pages long and after only short time spent reading, people often would begin getting confused. This blog will break the pixar theory down by movie and how each movie ties into Jon’s theory that every pixar movie made exists in a single universe, and in an assumed single timeline, ranging from as far back as 14th-15th century all the way up to 4500-5000 A.D.

Negroni goes through the movies in the order in which he believes that the films appear on the timeline. Listed below is the order that Negroni follows.

•Brave (Part 1 of 2)

•Ratatouille

•Up

•Finding Nemo

•The Incredibles
